As mentioned previously there is a new structure to the Youth Department at the Club.

This season the Shire Youth Academy will have 2 teams. The new U17s will be coached by Craig Tully and David Hagan. The U19 coaching staff will remain the same with Paul Durning as Head of Youth Development and Derek McKenzie as Head Academy Coach.

Any questions??

Good luck to Tulls in his new role, welcome onboard to David Hagan (who was a good player in his day) and good luck to Derek & Paul as they embark on another year with the u'19s

Can I just add that a great number of meetings have taken place to get this very important aspect of our club in order. The set up has real purpose and excellent drive and I commend anyone to come along and witness the training sessions and games when they start. I have no doubt the teams will prove very successful given time but your support will be greatly received. The U17's trial that Shireyouth mentions above is a great opportunity for any budding Messi's out there so please get the message around the schools etc.

Really good to see all three teams training together last night. The new set up looks very promising and with a fair number of onlookers showing their solidarity it can only bode well for the future. I think the U17's 'enjoyed' their fitness test under Tulls and Davie Hagen. They looked knackered at the end!

I'm only doing positives today. Last nights U17's trial match was excellent with a cracking standard of player turning up. I can only think that the 17's will have a decent chance with Tulls and Davie Hagen in charge. Good Luck chaps
