Aren't kids too young to have a say or are you talking about a bunch of super dwarves that have infiltrated the Shiretrust? |

The two new Trust board members & what kind of roles they will have are going to be announced soon.

Is this a secret?
It was discussed at the Shiretrust AGM so must be common knowledge. Before we know it we'll be accused of abusing our power by keeping this info from the "little people". |
No,its not a secret, it will be on the Trust website as soon as I pass it on to our web `master`. I suppose its the good thing about attending a meeting - you get more information a little sooner than everyone else. _________________ "Learn to see the `worst` films:

Lets all have a guess on who the two new board members will be.
My bets are on Ian Ramsay and Andy Miller.

the devil will make work for idle hands to do.
the fact that anyone is willing to take on the responsibility, and the sniping of 'fans' is to be applauded, regardless of who it is. We will find out in good time. The important thing is that all supporters, esp those who want a say in such things, make sure they are members of the Trust.
Edwin posted on another thread: 'Those on the board, faced with constant sniping from shareholders, and imputations regarding their honesty, are going to get fed up and find other things to do. Board members: criticism is going to be your lot. But just think, most of us will be rooting for you, and leadership means taking flak. And shrugging it off, if unjustified, for the greater good.'
This is so true, and hopefully those seeking to take our club forward will see past petty squabling to the future our club can have. |
No worries there firs1881...I am a fully paid up member of the Shiretrust, therefore I am "allowed" to say these things.

I think I had a discussion with you about this last season. You have raised a point about secrets here so I will treat it as an enquiry.
Secrets - yes, we have had a few. It is important that the shiretrust committee are well informed about what is affecting our club (and what could in the future) so that we can identify any threats (or opportunities) that may come our way. Sometimes when we ask people who may be in a position to give us information (councillors, politicians, football governing bodies, club officials) they will only do so if `it doesn`t go any further` than the committee. This is understandable as it may be of a sensitive nature, they may find themselves under pressure if they are known to have talked to us or it may simply suit them to tell us something without it becoming public knowledge. In these sort of circumstances it is often best to agree to keep a secret and for the Trust committee to be better informed as a result. _________________ "Learn to see the `worst` films:
