It was with a heavy heart that I learned of the passing of Alex "Hurricane" Higgins, after a long illness. Those of you, who are a wee bit older, like myself,will remember how he entertained us with his own brand of snooker.At times often contraverial but always a sportsman, showman and entertainer.
He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Jings, I didn't even know. He did an exhibition game at the masters in January too. He did look gaunt and very ill right enough.
